Hi guys! I am Kat Laster. I am an online business newbie who is trying to find my place in the digital world. I have had a niche online business before and loved it, but it was a COVID pandemic casualty (like so many small businesses). When I realized my business was not going to be able to sustain itself and my family through the pandemic I panicked and took a well paying “real job” again. I missed working from home and running my own business. My dream of owning my own business fell to the wayside while I sold my soul to my day job. After just 9 months my mental health bottomed out. My day job was literally destroying my mental health. I was working in a very toxic enviornment and it just wasn’t worth it anymore. I knew I only had one good choice; to go back into the online business world. I quickly found a business model that spoke to me…affiliate marketing. But I struggled to find my place online. Should I start a YouTube channel? A TikTok account? A Facebook group? Where could I find my tiny slice of the affiliate marketing pie?
This struggle led me to create this blog.
I truly am A Digital Misfit.
I am not a marketing expert.
I am not a high-ticket closer.
I am not a slick thinking “killer” business person.
I am an introvert. I have the social bandwidth of a gnat. The idea of asking people to spend thousands of dollars on a product makes me nervous.
BUT I know that online business is a great opportunity for people of all backgrounds to create a secondary (or primary) income source. There is no niche that cannot be reached through online business. I know that as an affiliate marketer I can help connect people with great products and services that they are looking for.
